The Bio Antique® window or door is organic and made of wood which, before being processed, undergoes a heat treatment at a temperature of 160°C to 210°C combining high temperature, vacuum and steam without adding any chemical additives.
During this process, the wood undergoes physical and chemical changes, improves some of its characteristics and acquires new qualities such as:
  • minimal water and vapour absorption capacity with consequent improvement of durability and minimisation of moulds or agents of deterioration attack
  • acquisition of warm and intense colour tones
  • greater dimensional stability against climatic variability
  • improved thermal insulation
  • elimination of much of the resin in softwoods

That is why we manufacture the Bio Antique® products according to high energy and acoustics efficiency criteria in order to guarantee savings for our customers and contribute together to the protection of the environment.

  • Our carpentry has obtained the PEFC™ certification, which guarantees that the wood we use comes from sustainably managed forests.

    Over the years, we have been awarded several prizes including ‘best forestry product’ in 2016 in the national competition organised by PEFC Italy and Legambiente supported by ANCI and the Ministry of the Environment.
